인형으로 되살아난 '마이클잭슨'
26일 서울 삼성동 코엑스에서 열린 '2010 서울인형전시회'에 유독 작은 크기의 작품으로 사람들의 눈길을 끈 부스가 있다. 미니어처 조형물 등을 전문으로 만드는 조각가 안혜경씨의 '닉스타일' 부스다. 안씨의 이번 인형전 주제는 '작은 조형물 프로젝트 첫 번째 - 팝의 황제에게 바칩니다(Tiny Sculpture Project Ver.1-Tribute To King of Pop)'다. 부스는 10cm도 채 되지 않는 각종 마이클잭슨의 미니어처 조각물들로 가득 찼다. 관람을 마치면 마이클잭슨에게 하고 싶은 말을 적을 수 있도록 작은 포스트잇까지 준비했다. 인형으로 다시 살아난 '팝의 제왕'을 보기 위해 마이클잭슨 동호회 회원들도 행사장을 찾았다. 인터넷 카페 등에서 알게 된 이들은 부스를 돌아보며 연신 "대단하다"고 감탄사를 연발했다. 한 동호회 회원은 "지난 마이클 잭슨 1주기 추모 행사 때 홍대에서 안씨가 이런 미니어처 작품들 수십 개를 전시했던 적이 있는데 다시 보니 너무 좋다"고 말했다. 조각가 안씨는 원래 뮤지컬과 연극, 인형극 등 공연물의 디자인과 제작을 담당하다 2000년부터 피규어를 만들기 시작했다. 모형회사의 조형물 파트담당자로도 근무했던 그는 "2006년부터 주머니에 다른 작품을 만들고 남은 조각들을 넣고 다니며 조각하다 본격적으로 시작하게 됐다"고 말했다. 올해는 마이클잭슨을 주제로 했지만 내년에는 '손톱아가'등 다른 주제로 다시 인형전을 열 계획이다. 지난 24일 개막한 서울인형전시회는 서울 삼성동 코엑스 1층 홀A에서 내년 1월 2일까지 열린다. 테디베어와 인기 아이돌 그룹 피규어 등 다양한 종류의 인형 1만여 점과 테마별 공간 전시를 함께 즐길 수 있다. 관람시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 7시까지이며 입장마감은 오후 6시다.
